New Student Orientation

Spring New Student Orientation (NSO) begins for new students with Move-In Day on Thursday, January 15th with required sessions going through Saturday, January 17th, 2026.

Move-In Day:

New Student Orientation begins with Move-In Day on January 15th! All new students will need to Check-In any time from 8:30 AM to 12:00 PM. To ensure a quick and smooth Check-In Process, please have all NSO Checklist items complete by January 1st. Any outstanding New Student Checklist items must be completed in order to receive your key to Move-In.

Our Welcome Crew will be ready to greet you when you arrive and help direct you to where you need to go. They will also be ready to help unload your belongings into one of our campus-provided moving carts to make your move easy!

Parents are encouraged to join new students on Move-In Day as we have activities planned for parents in the afternoon. Parents are welcome to stay with new students until the Dedication Service ends. Please note that the parking garage will close for campus guests at 8 PM.

If you plan to arrive late due to an urgent conflict, please reach out to studentactivities@moody.edu. Students who do not Check-In from 8:30am-12:00pm will have to Check-In at the Resident Hall desks (Houghton for women, Culbertson for men).

New International Students:

If you are a New International Student, please visit the ISO site to learn more about New International Student Orientation (NISO). New International Students will also participate in the NSO Welcome Week schedule.
