Supplemental Checklist

  • Family Education Rights and Privacy Act of 1974 (FERPA) Authorization
    • If you would like to grant your parent(s) access to your students bill and/or academic record, you must complete the online FERPA Authorization form. This permits Moody to disclose information related to your student bill and/or academic record to your parent(s). To complete the online form, log onto the My.Moody Student Portal (https://my.moody.edu). You will see a link for Academic Records and Registrar on the Students tab. 

  • Need a job?
    • On- and Off-Campus part-time jobs can be accessed through the My.Moody Student Portal (https://my.moody.edu). After logging in, you will see a link for job listings on the Chicago tab.
     
  • Music Lessons 
    • Moody offers lessons in most instruments and voice. Contact musicdept@moody.edu for more information or to register. Lessons are open to all students. Please note that students enrolled in music lessons are assigned practice times and in a specific practice room.
     
  • Music Ensembles
    • Moody has five touring ensembles who perform choral, contemporary, and instrumental repertoire. Fall students may sign up for an audition during move-in day, and spring students may email musicdept@moody.edu to set up a choir or orchestra audition. For more information about ensembles click here. Please note that students enrolled in ensembles can have access to practice rooms following the placement of music majors and those in applied lessons.
     
  • Varsity Athletics
    • Moody offers varsity men's basketball and soccer and women's cross-country and volleyball. More information can be found at http://www.moody.edu/athletics
      
  • Bringing a Car
    • All motor vehicles parking on-campus are required to have a parking permit. Due to limited parking capacity, freshmen (Anyone who has completed less than 30 credit hours, including transfer credit) who live in the residence halls are not permitted to bring a car to campus. Students with health conditions or impairments who require a reasonable accommodation should contact the Public Safety Office at parking@moody.edu, or 312-329-4358 to discuss an exception to this policy.
  • Getting to campus
    • Whether arriving by plane, car, or train, we can help you get here.
  • Furniture Policy
    • Upholstered furniture is not allowed in the Residence Halls. This includes couches, futons, and any other furniture with padded material. Students may bring plastic, wooden, metal, or canvas furniture.
  • Submit Emergency Contact Information
    • Go to my.moody.edu and sign in.
    • Click on Student Center under Academic Self-Service on the Students tab.
    • Click on Emergency Contact under Personal Information at the bottom of the page.
    • Click Add An Emergency Contact, fill out the form, and hit save.
    • You may add more than one emergency contact if desired.
