New Student Orientation

New Student Orientation (NSO) begins for fall semester students with Move-In Day on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

Move-In Day:

New Student Orientation begins with Move-In Day on August 20th! All new students will need to Check-In any time from 8:30 AM to 2:00 PM. To ensure a quick and smooth Check-In Process, please have all NSO Checklist items complete by August 1st. Any outstanding New Student Checklist items must be completed in order to receive your key to Move-In.

Our Welcome Crew will be ready to greet you when you arrive and help direct you to where you need to go. They will also be ready to help unload your belongings into one of our campus-provided moving carts to make your move easy!

Parents are encouraged to join new students on Move-In Day as we have activities planned for parents in the afternoon. Parents are welcome to stay with new students until the Dedication Service ends at 7:15 PM on August 20th. Please note that the parking garage will close for campus guests at 8 PM.

If you plan to arrive late due to an urgent conflict, please reach out to studentactivities@moody.edu. Students who do not Check-In from 8:30am-2:00pm will have to Check-In at the Resident Hall desks (Houghton for women, Culbertson for men). NSO Checklist items must be completed before arriving to campus.

New International Students:

If you are a New International Student, please visit this site to learn more about New International Student Orientation (NISO). New International Students will also participate in the NSO Welcome Week schedule.

Commuter Students:

Please note that New Student Orientation will not be offered virtually. Commuter students are expected to participate in New Student Orientation sessions that are bolded. Activities that are not bolded are recommended but not required. If you are unable to attend due to an urgent conflict, please reach out to studentactivities@moody.edu
